Defining cyberwar: towards a definitional framework
نویسندگان
چکیده
For nearly thirty years scholars have offered changing definitions of cyberwar. The continued ambiguity demonstrates that efforts at establishing definitional clarity not been successful. As a result, there are many different and contradictory definitions, ranging from cyberwar’s non-existence to cyberwar as an imminent threat. Ongoing makes interdisciplinary research policy communications challenging in this diverse field. Instead offering new definition, paper proposes can be understood through fluid framework anchored three themes five variables identified broad survey literature. This framework's applicability is demonstrated by constructing example definition utilising these variables.

Towards a Framework for Defining Internet Performance Metrics
The Internet's tremendous growth represents a triumph of standardization, since it is only through standardization that so many different networks using so many different designs can smoothly exchange data. The standardization of Internet measurement, however, has not matched the explosive growth of the network as a whole. Even such basic notions as how to measure the throughput or delay along ...
متن کاملTowards A Streams-Based Framework for Defining Location-Based Queries
An infrastructure is emerging that supports the delivery of on-line, location-enabled services to mobile users. Such services involve novel database queries, and the database research community is quite active in proposing techniques for the efficient processing of such queries. In parallel to this, the management of data streams has become an active area of research. While most research in mob...

متن کاملA Conceptual Framework for Smart Hospital towards Industry 4.0
Background: The fourth industrial revolution consists of combining network devices with cloud computing methods and analyzing large data and artificial intelligence, which makes it possible to call such an infrastructure smart. In a Smart Hospital, all things and devices are designed to be connected and integrated, thus achieving better patient care, increasing efficiency and reducing time wast...
متن کاملFormalizing Scientifically Applicable Mathematics in a Definitional Framework
In [3] a new framework for formalizing mathematics was developed. The main new features of this framework are that it is based on the usual first-order set theoretical foundations of mathematics (in particular, it is type-free), but it reflects real mathematical practice in making an extensive use of statically defined abstract set terms of the form {x |φ}, in the same way they are used in ordi...
